If you have a a flu vaccination does this lessen your chances of swine flu?

Date March 17, 2010

My question is does the regular flu vaccine vaccinate against the swine flu? I know you can still get the flu even if you have had a vaccination, but does it lessen the chances with the Swine flu as well?

No, because this new strain of virus is not covered by vaccines anciens.nIl is a completely new virus, no vaccine and no immunity for it are in the population.

No, the vaccine against the flu makes you immune to the three influenza strains they believe are the most common this year. Swine influenza is new, it will take at least 13 weeks to develop a vaccine against it.
